Use of the Transcripts

The transcripts posted here were captured from Public ASO sessions scheduled on the Tapped In event calendar, and are provided here primarily as reference resources for educators. Tapped In users agree, upon registration, to the terms in our code of professional conduct, which includes the following statement: "Public ASO sessions are routinely recorded, and transcripts are posted publicly." Note that all other conversations in Tapped In (i.e., those that do not take place in an ASO session) are assumed to be private to the people involved; they may not be posted publically (e.g., on a listserv or discussion board) without the prior consent of the participants.

We have been asked if the Public ASO transcripts can also be used for research purposes. SRI has no objection to researchers using the publicly accessible transcripts for analysis. We just request that you acknowledge Tapped In as the source of the transcripts in any publications by linking to the Tapped In website at tappedin.org and/or citing Schlager, Fusco, & Schank (2002), referenced below, which describes the ASO concept.
